Our second of two coins is more than a striking
tribute—it’s a visual testament to the Unsung Heroes who shaped our history. As we celebrate
America's 250th anniversary, these faces
honoring the Black Patriots, Women, and Indigenous allies embody the spirit of service and the lives that built our community.

Representing the spirit of Franklin Township, this coin captures the intersection of cultures and individuals during a pivotal moment in American history. It is more than a historical marker; it is an invitation to reflect on our common heritage. Through the motto "Lest We Forget," the coin ensures that the stories of those who lived, fought, and persevered in this region remain a permanent part

The obverse side of the Unsung Heroes coin features a powerful American Bald Eagle, its wings spread wide in a resolute and protective posture. Crucially, the eagle's gaze is intentionally directed toward the olive branch it holds in its right talon—a profound symbol of the nation's enduring preference for peace over the arrows of conflict held in its left.
Set against the majestic, finely detailed silhouettes of the U.S. Capitol dome and Independence Hall, the design serves as a visual bridge connecting our local revolutionary heritage to the grander national narrative.
The iconic motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (Out of Many, One) is prominently featured, while the commemorative dates "1776–2026" ground the piece in its deep historical context, marking two and a half centuries of the American spirit.
